Chapter 011 - Xros World!! The Secret of the Two Worlds!?
A familiar scene starts playing out! Wizarmon, Tailmon, and their friends worry for their lives as a massive Bagra Army force marches through the Corridor Zone. Just then, a strong voice rings out, "Don't give up!" The Digimon turn to see the massive forces of the Xros Heart army amassed on the cliff above them.

(Somewhere, a voice starts singing "We are XROS HEART!"...)

Wizarmon recognizes the boy as Taiki Kudou. The Bagra Army's Musyamon report the same information to Tactimon, while Xros Heart's OchiMusyamon joyously reports to Taiki that they're facing Tactimon, and they're all gonna die. Taiki refuses to go down so easily, and Starmon reminds them that Tactimon is leading a reconnaissance force so it should be possible to drive off the forces. Taiki digixroses his team into Shoutmon X4, who dives right into the Bagra soldiers. In awe, the local Digimon think to themselves that Shoutmon X4 reminds them of the legendary Omegamon.

Just then, Kotone rides past, riding on an annoyed Zenjirou's shoulders and followed by Sparrowmon, Kyubimon, and V-mon. She performs a DigiXros between Sparrowmon and Shoutmon X4, creating the new Shoutmon X5. Intrigued, Tactimon awaits X5's attack.

(The voice begins singing "The Sky-dancing Hero! X5"...)

X5 launches into battle with Tactimon, and although Tactimon complements X5's spirit, he taunts them that they may not be able to pull through the upcoming bloodshed just with their willpower. At this, Tactimon unleashes his San no Tachi Kai: Chitsuikaku (Third Tachi Revision: Earth-hammering Tower) and Kishintotsu (Fierce God's Thrust), driving his Jatetsufujinmaru straight through the Sparrowmon shield. But although X5 is on the ground and Tailmon thinks he's been defeated, X5 grabs Tactimon and unleashes his Meteor Impact, blowing the Head Officer away. Shoutmon starts bragging about getting a hit, while Dorulumon reminds him that they took ten hits first, and Sparrowmon is still moaning in pain.

However, Tactimon has already gotten back up, which annoys Shoutmon. He complements them on their strength, but asks why they didn't use the power of evolution that they had used against Millenniumon, artificial though it was. Shoutmon tries to boast that they wouldn't use something that powerful against the likes of Tactimon, but Taiki just admits that they don't quite know how to activate it.

Tactimon explains that he's studying the war because of his interest in Taiki, and Taiki responds by asking if Bagramon is in the war for anything more than conquest. Tactimon deflects the question by claiming that he is merely a soldier, swinging his sword in a battlefield given to him by his Majesty. He reveals that he's going to retreat, openly wondering whether Xros Heart will try to destroy him while his back is turned. As Tactimon leads his troops away, Taiki reassures him that Xros Heart isn't like that. Although Shoutmon was itching for more action, Gottsumon and Lilimon are amazed that, for once, the Bagra Army was forced into a peaceful retreat, and Taiki feels a bit of deja vu for the scenes they just went through.

That night, the whole of Xros Heart sits down to a grand feast. While Lilimon brings out food and the Zone's Gottsumon gives Taiki the Code Crown, Akari reminisces about how they managed to free the remaining Digimon from DarkKnightmon's castle, bolstering their armies immensely. However, they still don't know what Millenniumon, DarkKnightmon, and Shademon-Nene are up to....Akari doesn't really approve of Nene's new "look".

Flashing back to Kotone's awakening, we can see Sparrowmon calling on a very groggy Kotone. Sparrowmon tries to break the news to Kotone lightly, but Kotone just takes the situation in without breaking a sweat. After all, it's the Digital World! What's left to surprise you? The hyperactive little girl introduces herself to the group, and Monimon, not even Sparrowmon, is the only one who can keep up with her! Her name is Amano Kotone, and she came to the Digital World at the tender age of 17...minus ten years. Nobody gets this American(?) joke.

Kotone asks where her big sister is, and the truth finally dampens her spirits. Although she continues to keep up a brave front...she still has sorrows. Zenjirou wanders over to Kotone's table as she's refusing to eat anything, and tells her that if she wants to grow into a lady like her sister, she needs to eat. He offers her a crepe that Nene had gotten from the Sweets Zone, but Kotone sees through him. Though she eats the crepe anyway, she tells him off for trying to get into her big sister's good graces by kissing up to her.

Meanwhile, Wizarmon and Tailmon look around at the many legendary allies that the humans have amassed. Xros Heart's elite include Beelzebumon, a Warrior of the Goddess from the Sand Zone who wants revenge on Lilithmon; Agnimon, the champion of the Coliseum Zone, who's sitting next to a ravenous Fairimon; and BantyoLiomon, the legendary leader of the Study Zone. Meanwhile, Kiriha's own forces are equally mighty. The two Digimon comment that although the war is predicted to end if Xros Heart and Blue Flare fight together against the Bagra Army, the Generals haven't really been cooperating...but the pair has important things to talk about with Taiki, and they need to do it now.

Back inside of Ballistamon MC, Akari is planning the month's rations, and Taiki has fallen over exhausted. Akari worries over him, and then spots the Corridor Zone's Code Crown. According to Nene, the Code Crown would let them go home...but is there still even a world to go home to? Just then, Pandamon pops up and asks Akari if she can wake up Taiki, as two Digimon are wanting to talk to him. After Taiki is woken up, he walks over to Wizarmon and Tailmon, who thank him for the good food. Tailmon gives Taiki a once-over, literally, and concludes that he doesn't look like the General they're waiting for. Wizarmon rebukes her, but Taiki just brushes it off and asks what's up. Wizarmon introduces himself, and explains that he is researching the state of the Digital World and its connections with the Human World. His partner is Tailmon, who serves as his bodyguard. Wizarmon further explains that he wanted to meet with Taiki to ask if Taiki could use the Zone's Code Crown to let him travel to the Human World. He wants to answer questions about the nature of the Digital World; after all, Digimon just take it for granted that the Digital World ignores basic physics and biology, with magical and psychic powers everywhere, as well as beings who have minds but no body, and can speak as soon as they're born.

Shoutmon doesn't get it, and says he's never had any questions like that. Taiki instead wonders if it could just be a result of the Digital World possibly being a virtual reality simulation. Wizarmon responds to that by pointing out that no earthly computer would have enough processing power to simulate the entire Digital World; furthermore, the Code Crown's ability to allow travel to the Human World means that, for all practical purposes, the Human World itself is a Zone, implying that the Human World must be part of the same simulation, if Taiki's theory is true. Akari and Tailmon don't understand any of it.

Dorulumon asks what Wizarmon actually plans to do, and Wizarmon responds that he thinks there's some meaning behind the Digital World being known as, well, Digital, as well as the obvious influences on the Digital World's structure from objects in the Human World. Wizarmon wants to go to the Human World to investigate, even if he doesn't find anything. He wants to look for hints on why the Digital World is split into Zones, and why war arose here.

Taiki admits that he was wondering how the Human World is doing, but Shoutmon reminds him that the Bagra Army is a threat. Kotone offers to stay behind, explaining that she won't go back until Nene is rescued. Dorulumon thinks that they should be able to hold out with Kotone's help, if Taiki goes, and when Akari says they can't leave Kotone alone, Zenjirou offers to stay with her...and gets his hand bitten. With that problem answered, Taiki thinks about whether he can go. Shoutmon asks to go along with Taiki, and Taiki admits that he hadn't even thought the Human World might have a clue on how to end the war. Why don't they go and have a look?

Elsewhere, DarkKnightmon has the still-digixrosed Nene tied up with Blossomon's vines, and is torturing her to try and end the Xros...yeah. DarkKnightmon realizes that the strength of the Xros, as well as Nene's subsumed will, is resisting DarkKnightmon's attempts to break it apart, and that he can't continue torturing Nene or he'll kill Shademon. So, he can't fix the Darkness Loader, and he won't be able to grow stronger if he only absorbs weak Digimon like Duskmon. For better or worse, he'll have to absorb stronger Digimon, and attacking Xros Heart or Blue Flare might awaken Nene's consciousness and impel it to further thwart DarkKnightmon's plans. Tsuwarmon suddenly pops up behind him, and informs DarkKnightmon that Xros Heart is planning an expedition to the Human World, and will be taking many of their Digimon with them. DarkKnightmon thinks to himself, and tells Tsuwarmon that he has an interesting plan...
