Chapter 010 - Xros Revolution!! The Guide to Miracles!!
Zenjirou busts in with the Rare Star Sword, using his Koto Ryuseizan (Koto Meteor Slash) to break Nene's chains. He catches his love in his arms, but the hero's moment of triumph ends quickly when Nene completely forgets his name. DarkKnightmon is still on the ground, shocked at Shoutmon's power, while Sparrowmon apologizes to Nene for not seeing her pain earlier, then rushes off to save Kotone. An irked Akari yells at Nene, proclaiming that Nene should feel free to rely on them, causing Nene to burst into tears and embrace the other girl. Akari, embarrased, tells her to get a hold on herself. Sparrowmon jets toward Kotone, but a dazed DarkKnightmon rises up, holding his naginata.

Meanwhile, Ornismon is still fighting Cyberdramon with his Cosmic Ray. Lilimon is shocked at Ornismon's strength, but Jijimon observes that Cyberdramon is holding his own. Kiriha explains that Cyberdramon is using moderate-power attacks to keep Ornismon occupied, and Sunflowmon realizes that Cyberdramon is much smarter than they thought. Kiriha explains that, although Cyberdramon's alien mind makes him hard to understand, it's much more intelligent than the average Digimon. The MailBirdramon component of RampageGreymon explains that, like MailBirdramon and Greymon, Cyberdramon was wandering through the Digital World looking for strong opponents, and that when it locked eyes with Greymon, it turned into a three day battle that somehow allowed the two titans to understand each other. Lilimon just remarks that the difference between geniuses like Cyberdramon and idiots like...Greymon...must be pretty small.

Just then, Baromon reports that the Gaossmon have taken down the enemies guarding the front gates. MailBirdramon reminds Kiriha that they are facing heavy losses if they have to fight inside the castle, and Lilimon reports that the infiltration team doesn't seem to have gotten back out of the castle yet. Kiriha is annoyed that even using himself as bait didn't give "those careless people" enough time to get the job done, and decides to knock on the door--with RampageGreymon's Giga Tempest. "May we come in?" ...what a gentleman he is. As Raremon begin swarming, Dorulumon and Ballistamon break off of RampageGreymon and tell Blue Flare to go on ahead. Dorulumon explains that Taiki's going to need MetalGreymon's strength, and that the narrow castle will slow down MetalGreymon too much if they have to fight through the enemies all as one Digimon. Kiriha realizes that Dorulumon's strategic wit is why he was Tactimon's right-hand man, and jokingly offers Dorulumon a place in his army. Dorulumon declines and rushes into battle against a Golemon, with the realization that if Tactimon is the darkness haunting his soul, Taiki is the light.

Back in the throne room, DarkKnightmon is easily blocking Sparrowmon's Random Laser, but Shoutmon's Rowdy Rocker nearly blows his big ol' chin off. DarkKnightmon is incredulous that Shoutmon, who was once such a weakling he couldn't take out a Local Commander, is now beating him...and he sees flakes of gold falling from Shoutmon. Taiki realizes that Shoutmon's determination is growing...changing Shoutmon into something stronger...evolving! Duskmon rejects that, claiming that Digimon can never change, but just as he's about to cut Taiki down, Zenjirou counters both physically and figuratively, parrying Duskmon's swords with the Rare Star Sword and proclaiming that anyone can change if they work to get stronger.

Sparrowmon once again jets to Kotone, but just as she is about to pick the girl up, Tuwarmon suddenly appears behind her and flings her away. As Tuwarmon chides DarkKnightmon for being so careless, Nene tells Taiki that she doesn't recognize this new Digimon, and DarkKnightmon admits that he had completely forgotten about his spy while he was busy manipulating Nene. But DarkKnightmon's on his game now; he unleashes his Treason Vortex, throwing his enemies against the wall, then pinning Shoutmon and Sparrowmon with his Shoulder Blade and Twin Spear, respectively. DarkKnightmon orders Shademon to take Kotone now, as Blue Flare's assault has made him run out of time.

Kiriha finally bursts in with MetalGreymon, and screams at his Digimon to take out Shademon. DarkKnightmon blocks MetalGreymon, proclaiming his victory, but Nene struggles toward the incomplete Darkness Loader...and commands Shademon to Forced DigiXros with herself! As Shademon strips Nene's clothes and becomes a...revealing outfit of darkness and heels, Taiki and DarkKnightmon stand bewildered, but Kiriha forces his way to Nene. Nene warns him to stay away, as she's about to become a witch, but Kiriha tells her she's not anything like a witch, she's a noble lady, and as a knight, he will risk his blood and pride to rescue her!

But now she is Nene-Shademon, and Shademon ain't having any of that shit. Shademon apologizes to DarkKnightmon for being in such an unsightly form, and DarkKnightmon realizes that in the Digital World, even humans become beings of data that can be fused with Digimon, just like in the old legends (...of Takato and Dukemon), and that even though the ritual wasn't finished, Shademon being in Nene's shadow created a bond that allowed them to fuse. Shademon presents the Darkness Loader to DarkKnightmon, who recognizes it as incomplete, and reveals that he cannot separate from being fused with Nene (....riiiiight). DarkKnightmon realizes that Shademon is in control of the Nene-Shademon DigiXros, and orders his witch to perform a Forced DigiXros between him and Duskmon. Duskmon begs DarkKnightmon to remember his loyal service, but the DigiXros proceeds and Duskmon becomes a new arm to replace the one DarkKnightmon lost against Lilithmon.

However, DarkKnightmon can feel Duskmon's will stirring within him, and realizes that Nene's mucking about has made the Darkness Loader unable to supress its victims' wills, and that DarkKnightmon won't be able to easily absorb the Three Head Officers. Furious at Nene, furious at Blue Flare, and furious at Xros Heart, DarkKnightmon screams for Tuwarmon and Shademon to destroy the castle and take out these pieces of TRAAAAAAAAASH!!

Ornismon bursts in, tossing Cyberdramon to the floor, and Shademon begins to awaken DarkKnightmon's crystallized army... Monochromon, Kabuterimon, Garurumon, SkullGreymon, Kuwagamon, Airdramon, Forced DigiXros! Chimairamon! MetalTyranomon, Megadramon, Andromon, MetalMamemon, Forced DigiXros! Mugendramon! CHIMAIRAMON! MUGENDRAMON! FORCED DIGIXROS...MILLENNIUMON!!

A delirious DarkKnightmon commands his enemies to look upon Millenniumon, the same kind of monster as the one that once ruled the Digital World through tyranny. He crows that the uncountable minds within Millenniumon have swallowed it in madness, creating an infinitely-regenerating beast that only knows how to destroy; only a MIRACLE could stop it, and miracles just don't happen!

But a miracle did happen, Taiki counters. Nene believed in hope until the end, and brought about a miracle to save her sister. As Shoutmon begins to feel something stirring inside him, Kiriha also finds hope that by crushing Millenniumon, Nene will be able to smile again, and MetalGreymon starts to feel the same burning power as Shoutmon. Shoutmon and MetalGreymon charge forward, and EVOLVE into OmegaShoutmon and ZekeGreymon!

Everyone else is amazed, and even Bagramon in his castle can sense the "light of evolution". To DarkKnightmon's bewilderment, OmegaShoutmon and ZekeGreymon are able to beat down Millenniumon; however, Taiki realizes that the beast is just continuing to draw on the other crystallized Digimon to heal itself. Instead of fighting, he asks Kiriha to help him seal Millenniumon within the Digital Space, where it won't be able to hurt anyone and might someday be rescued itself. As they open a Digital Gate, Kiriha laughs that Taiki just "can't ignore" anyone. With their strongest attacks, OmegaShoutmon and ZekeGreymon knock Millenniumon out of the Zone.
