Davis is the new leader of the digidestined. He is like Tai and Matt in practucally every way. He inherits the Digieggs of Courage and Friendship. Tai gave him his goggles when Davis's broke in his firstbattle in the Digital World. Davis became a digidestined because he was one of the kids brought before Myotismon and Gatomon when he was searching for the 8th child. Later on in life he owns a Chinese NoodleResturant.

In Epi1 Enter Flamedramon Veemon first digivolves to Flamedramon. In Episode 11 the Storm of Friendship Veemon first digivolves to Raidramon. In Episode 22 Veemon goes to his Champion form of Exveemon.In Episode 26 Veemon and Stingmon DNA digivolve to Paildramon. In Episode 39 Paildramon digivolves to Mega Imperialdramon Then in Episode 43 Imperialdramon gets to Fighter Mode.

It isn't until the 4th Movie that Imperialdramon FM gets the power of Omnimon to become Paladin Mode.

The characters for his last name, Motomiya, mean "True Shrine" and his first name, Daisuke, means "Big Help" (sniggers dodges objects thrown by Davis fans)
