Summary:
Azulongmon flies the tamers in a cloud to the pit where the D-Reaper is coming out and Calumon is trying to escape from. Azulongmon explains that the D-Reaper is drawn like a magnet to Calumon. Meanwhile Ryo runs into Baihumon who is very weak from his battle. Ryo doesn't like what he and Cyberdramon are getting into and fly to where the tamers are. No one is willing to go into the pit after Calumon until Rika volunteers. She and Renamon descend followed by Ryo and Cyberdramon. Ryo has Cyberdramon cave in the pit, slowing down the D-Reaper. Rika finds Calumon but hands him over to Ryo, she and Renamon are going to stay behind in a hope that they can buy the others enough time to escape. Renamon and Rika Bioemerge to Sakuyamon who uses her powers to stop the D-Reaper. The tamers think this is permanent and leave the pit. They are planning to go home when the D-Reaper escapes the pit, stronger than ever. Zhuaqiaomon says for the tamers to leave as now the battle must be to the death. We also learned in this ep that Jeri's mother died and she never has accepted her stepmother until now.
